Only Active and Associative members in good standing shall be eligible to vote and to hold office. All members who fly or otherwise operate model aircraft at any club flying Site, or who are representatives of the club at any public or private demonstration or contest of model aircraft flight, are required to hold valid Academy of Model Aeronautics membership. A current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license is also required for FPV or other video downlink operations that are not FCC Part 15 compliant.

Club membership is valid for a calendar year. There shall be a grace period for all new member applicants between October through December where club dues shall be waived for the remainder of the year. New members who join the club after June 30 shall pay prorated annual membership dues as shown.

New members must be certified by a club officer before being permitted to fly at the field. The new member will be provided a brief orientation regarding field boundaries and rules. The new member must also demonstrate flight proficiency for safe flight operations. The club by-laws and other information are available on the club web site: fredaero.org. Access to the member page will be provided once membership is confirmed.
